Thirupananthal – Sri Aruna Jadewswarar temple

This temple is located 18 km before Kumbakonam, Tamil Nadu. The temple is situated on the southern bank of Kollidam River.  The 7 tier Rajagopuram is facing west and the 5 tier tower is on the east.  There are three prakaras in the temple.

Significance:

Lord in the temple is a swayambumurthy. The rays of Sun fall on Lord on some days in Chithirai month-April-May.
